Do I need a GP referral for an MSK scan?
No. You can book a musculoskeletal ultrasound or orthopaedic consultation directly. If your scan shows something that needs surgery or specialist input, we can refer you to a consultant orthopaedic surgeon.
Can I have a scan and an injection in the same visit?
Often, yes. If a diagnostic scan shows that an ultrasound-guided injection is appropriate, this can frequently be carried out in the same appointment, subject to clinical assessment and your consent.
How quickly can I be seen for an acute injury?
We hold same-day and next-day appointments for acute injuries wherever possible, so you can get a diagnosis and a clear management plan quickly rather than waiting.
