Do I need a GP referral to start weight management?
No. You can book a weight management consultation directly. Your doctor will review your health, weight history and any medications before agreeing a plan with you.
Can I be prescribed GLP-1 medication such as a weight-loss injection?
Where it is clinically appropriate and safe for you, GLP-1 medication can be prescribed as part of a supervised programme. This is always decided after a full assessment, not automatically.
Is the programme medically supervised?
Yes. Care is led by a doctor, with regular review of your progress, wellbeing and any medication, so that treatment is adjusted safely over time.
