Frequently asked questions
Do I need a GP referral for the MSK Same-Day assessment?
No. You can book directly. If your assessment shows something that needs surgery or specialist input, we can refer you to a consultant orthopaedic surgeon.
Can I have an injection during the same visit?
If the scan shows that an ultrasound-guided injection would help, this can often be arranged, either in the same visit or shortly afterwards. Any injection is a separate treatment and is discussed and priced with you first.
How quickly can I be seen?
We hold same-day and next-day appointments for acute injuries wherever possible, so you can get a diagnosis and plan without a long wait.
When will I get my results?
Your diagnosis and management plan are discussed on the day, with a written report and plan to follow within 24 hours.
